Dotty Flowers...........

We were using a New stamp from Woodware this week called Dotty Flowers.

On the first card a Mask was used to create the background.Tape down the mask over your cardstock with removable tape and ink through the mask.We used Smoothies to apply Distress Inks (Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint) blending them diagonally across the card.
It is hard to see from the picture ,but the cardstock was them lightly sprayed with Perfect Pearls which gives a shimmer to the card when dry.
Stamp the Dotty flowers using Versafine Ink and colour the leaves with Distress Inks. The card was trimmed with ribbon .

The second card is more subtle.A mask was made by punching a circle in a piece of paper or cardstock. This was taped over a plain piece of cardstock and inked through using Distress Inks ( Tattered Rose and Antique Linen) removing the mask leaving a perfect inked circle.
The Dotty Flowers were stamped into the cardstock making sure the heads of the flowers were in the circle.Colour the leaves with distress ink and attach a strip of co-ordinating card stamped with a sentiment and trimmed with Pearl embellishments.

Thoughts of You

We all have to make cards like these to send from time to time and find it difficult to come up with a design so we hope you like the following...

We used a Dreamweaver stencil - Bare Tree with paste and sprinkled with Polished Silk Glitter - Periwinkle to give a soft touch. The overlay has an aperture cut for the tree to show through and has been embossed with a Textured Linen embossing folder from Creative Expressions.
Simple but effective. We hope you agree.

Another delicate card, this time 6" x 6" square. We have matt and layered several layers and then the top layer has been embossed using the Marianne Design Embossing Folder and Die Set - Marrakash. It has then been cut and punched using  Martha Stewart Border Punch - Floral Lace to create the spacing allowing the colour of the background to show. The coloured droplets have been die-cut using the co-ordinating die that comes with the embossing folder. They fit perfectly over the embossed card. Both cards have been finished with a sentiment of choice, but the designs could be used for other occasions.
